New chart allows users to view the compensation of different college and university presidents in relation to three institutional characteristics.

Recently, The Chronicle of Higher Education released a chart that allows you to view the compensation of different college and university presidents in context.  More specifically, the chart shows presidents’ total compensation and base salaries in relation to three institutional characteristics: institutional expenditures, average professor salary, and tuition and fees.

The salary data used in this chart was reported to The Chronicle’s compensation survey.  Institutional data came from the U.S. Department of Education’s Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (Ipeds).  Data is for the 2018 calendar year.
